this week in my kitchen :: salads & coffee

~loving~
 this time of year
when the greens grown
in my garden


make their way
to the 
kitchen
as dinner inspiration


and continue their travels
to the table


to plates
heaped
with goodness
to nourish the bodies
of those I love


topped with
Southwest Dressing
fresh from the blender
with just as good for you
ingredients

amazing flavors
come together
in the healthiest of ways



Always on the look-out for new recipes
and when I read through this one
and just happened to have 
all the ingredients listed
well...
it had to be.


My destiny...
Edamame and Quinoa
Salad
with cilantro and lime.
I wasn't doing cartwheels over it
but it filled our
bellies
fed our bodies
with good stuff
and
sometimes
that's
good enough


When an afternoon pick-me-up
was called for
I hunted down a copy cat
Ice Capp recipe
that I proceeded to veganize...
it still needs tweaking
before I can
share it with 
you


Finally
 a pasta salad
  go-to
for
 lunch
dinner
snack time...
just about anytime!

Garden to table.
I ask you...
is there anything
that makes you feel 
more
wholesome?
