A Norman Rockwell World

I knew the very moment my eyes

first opened...

that something had happened

during the night.

My bedroom had a new and

different light.

Away to the window

I flew like a flash...

tore open the shutters

and threw up the sash...

the first snow!

Blanketing the world

in a layer of

white.

Making Frosty

(and me!)

grin with

excitement.

It was, what I consider to be...

the perfect snow.

Covering everything...

except the roads!

It didn't stop me

from running my errands.

Then again, with Ol' Blue

(that's the name I gave my new/old

Ford pick-up)

nothing slows me down.

An intersection

I pass through

every day...

had been transformed.

My drive was filled

with breath-taking

sights.

Ordinary?

Extraordinary! All was calm... all so bright.

Potential postcards

were everywhere

I looked.

Even when Ol' Blue

arrived back

home...

I felt like I was

driving into a

Christmas card.
