normal :: almost

Do.

A quiet, uninterrupted Tuesday.
Perfect recipe for
finding the focus I so long for.
A return to center...
well actually, still a bit left
of center.

Grow.

My "desk" area is once
again littered with
Joey's Algebra 2
work.
With surprisingly little coercion...
gentle nudging, perhaps.
James preferred local...
spread out on the living room
couch.
The joys of homeschool!
A desk standing
at the ready with
supplies at
your fingertips.
Pencils, pens, calculator,
graph paper,
sharpener.
Play.
The keyboard calls
periodically throughout our day.
Music fills the air...
tunes from Mario, Zelda, Tetris...
an unbelievable symphony
of beautiful
notes.
Midday
found us at the recycling bins
to drop off
and to
pick up.
I needed a few cans.
Scrubbed, filled with water, frozen,
punched tin designed...
nesting in the sink
as they
thaw.
Waiting to become candles...
filled with clean wintertime
fragrances.
Learn.
Reading up on Clean Eating as
I consider an on-line
class to make mine
a Whole Foods Kitchen.
The remote is handy.
We have been watching
many of the documentaries
that Netflix
offers.
This past week our focus was
on food waste and
what we can do to make
a difference.
good stuff.
Move.
A return to exercise.
A gradual...evolving program
that has started with
a kettle bell workout.
Work.
Started and completed
a few projects
at my
work station...
play station.

An organized mess of

woolens, buttons,

denims

and yarns...

that I feel at

home in.

Coffee sleeves.

100% recycled wool.

Vintage buttons.

Today...

dressed in pink.

Doing.

Living.

Eating well.

Ended the day with a delicious pot

of Lebanese Lentil Soup.

So very warm and filling.

  1. Beautiful words & pictures of busy winter days. I'm smitten with your pink & gray coffee sleeve! Has always been a favorite color combo of mine and ADORE it for a fresh winter look.

  3. Heres a silly thing...I am trying to think of another purpose for that cutie sleeve. Since I was blessed with a Keurig as an early Christmas gift I no longer get take-out coffee. (I love that machine!) So sweet of you to offer to hold it for me!
