We've been waiting
a long
time
for
it.
The last couple of
years
have been a
disappointment
with misses
far outnumbering
the
hits.
2014
is proving to be
the winter we've been
hoping for.
We are finally getting
the weather
Michigan
is known for...
snow!
Snow that begs
for the decorations
to stay around
a little bit
longer.
Snow
that calls you from
the comfort of your couch
the
warmth of the
fire
with the
promise
of
fun.
So
pack your basket
and bundle up
in woolens
grab two smiley
little girls
and head for
the hills!
where
first-time
sledders
can see for themselves
what all
the fuss is
about.
Where
once you hit the
bottom
you are greeted
with the words...
Let's Do That Again!
With one opting
for the
I'll just lay down
while you pull me up
approach
and the other
hoofs it up solo
each
time
and at four
is ready to
race with the
big
boys!
taking time out
for some of the
hot cocoa
in little
espresso mugs
while bundled under
extra coats
and sweaters
in Papa Rudy's truck.
When the uncles
head off
for the
big hill
which offers up
big fun
One little girl
refuses
to miss out...
so we head to the
big hill
where she can be
the
KING of the
mountain.
And I can safely
say...
they are hooked!
And
the I can be changed to
WE...
That's...
We
Heart
Snow!
(we are expecting 8-10 inches
of powder today...Yippee!)
Yeah,
remind me of this
come April
;)
Glad you found some "hill" time! It cracks me up how kids who live in the flat lands have to improvise with ATVs when it comes to sledding. No shortage of hills here! The snowpocalypse turned out to be a false prophet for us...very light snow, with falling temperatures coming tonight. Enjoy the winter experience!
